Obituary for Tillie Agnes Witherow
Tillie Agnes Witherow, 89, of Curwensville, passed away Sunday afternoon September 6, 2015 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital.

Born October 17, 1925 in Ramey, she was the daughter of Joseph and Rose (Frankovich) Lutz. Mrs. Witherow was a homemaker, a member of St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society.Â

In 1949 in Houtzdale, PA, she wed Arthur C. Witherow who preceded her in death on February 20, 1996. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother Frank Lutz, an infant brother Joseph Lutz, and 7 sisters.  Josephine Goldsmith, Rose Caber, Kathryn Kephart, Frances Gavlak, Helen Matchock, Agnes Bartek, and Mary Nechamkin.

Surviving is a son Craig Witherow and his wife Wendy of Curwensville, a granddaughter Megan Witherow of Curwensville, and three sisters:Â Margaret Wojtowich of Ramey, Verna Walstrom of Houtzdale, and Blanche Mandel of Philipsburg.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church 306 Walnut St Curwensville, PA 16833 on Thursday September 10, 2015 at 10:30 AM, with the Reverend Father Mark J. Mastrian as Celebrant. Interment will be in the St. Lawrence Cemetery Houtzdale.

Friends will be received at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. 300 State St Curwensville on Wednesday September 9 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM, and again on Thursday from 9 AM until 10:15 PM, when the procession will depart for the church.

The Rosary will be recited by members of St. Timothy Altar and Rosary Society Wednesday at 3 PM, and a Scripture Vigil Services will be conducted Wednesday at 7:45 PM, both at the funeral home.
