Obituary for Viola Alverda Ardary
Viola Alverda Ardary, 96, a guest of Marion Manor in Curwensville and formerly of Curwensville, passed away Saturday evening, April 22, 2017 at Marion Manor.
Born May 27, 1920 in Pike Township, she was the daughter of Wayne and Marjorie (Riddle) Addleman. Mrs. Ardary was a homemaker, had done part time work and also worked at the Clearfield Hospital for three years as a Nurse’s Aide. She had been a member of the former Calvary Baptist Tabernacle in Curwensville for fifty-four years and most recently attended the First Baptist Church of Curwensville.
On September 12, 1939 in the First Baptist Church of Curwensville by the Reverend Paul E. Dale, she wed Maxwell E. Ardary who preceded her in death on January 14, 1986. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother Ralph W. Addleman Sr. and an infant grandson.
Surviving are three sons and their wives. W. Edmund “Gunner” Ardary and wife Audrey and Gordon M. Ardary and wife Judy both of Curwensville and C. Samuel Ardary and wife Barbara of Lumber City. Also surviving are five grandchildren Rick Ardary, Doug Ardary, Holly Bressler, Chris Caldwell and Matthew Ardary eight great grandchildren, two step great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren.
At the request of Mrs. Ardary there will be no public visitation and graveside funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family with the Reverend Daniel Osterhout officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery Curwensville.
