Obituary for Virgil "Don" Spencer
Virgil “Don” Spencer 74, of Glen Richey passed away Sunday October 4, 2009 at the Clearfield Hospital after a brief illness.



Born September 16, 1935 in Akron, OH he was the son of Clinton C. and Nellie (Warden) Spencer. He was the step son of Ann Merner. He had worked at General Motors in OH and was owner operator of Don’s Auto Sales.  He was a member of the Glen Richey Fire Company.  He also was a U S Army Veteran.
 


On July 11, 1967 in Winburn, PA he wed Gay Lee Lytel who survives along with his son Clifford B. Spencer and his wife Stephanie of New Millport. 2 grandchildren Maggie and Austin Spencer. 6 brothers and sisters Junaita Lark of OH, Cleda Peters of Dubois, Max Spencer of South Dakota, Melvin Spencer and his wife Norma of OH, Delores Hoover and her husband Hughy of Curwensville, and Dennis Spencer and his wife Doris of Grampian. And numerous nieces and nephews.



He was preceded in death by his parents, step mother, daughter Virginia Lee Spencer, brothers Rev. Clinton Spencer Jr., and Hobert Spencer, and a sister Mildred Mallon.



There will be no visitation for Mr. Spencer. A public Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
 

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc in care of Gay Lee Spencer 300 State Street Curwensville, PA 16833.
