Obituary for Virginia Spencer
Virginia Spencer, 89, of Stronach, passed away Sunday October 31, 2021 at Penn Highlands Hospital-DuBois.

Born March 28, 1932 in Clearfield, she was the daughter of Edward and Edith (Glace) Smith. Mrs. Spencer was a homemaker and had also worked at the former Sheertex Hosiery Mill in Curwensville and the former Super-Duper Market in Clearfield. She was Presbyterian by Faith.

She loved her children and grandchildren and loved dining out, camping, and games.

On December 6, 1951 she wed Raymond K. Spencer who preceded her in death on February 2, 2012. She was also preceded in death by her parents; sisters Eloise Painter and Eileen Williams; and brothers Richard and Kenneth Smith.

Surviving are two children: Raymond L. Spencer and wife Christine of Walltown and Kathy S. Luzier and husband Richard of Curwensville. Also surviving are four grandsons: Jonathon Spencer and wife Melissa of Brockway, Ryan Spencer and wife Krista of Olanta, Adam Spencer and wife Elizabeth of Lexington, KY, and Matthew LaRock of Clearfield; five great grandchildren: Brady and Rhyan LaRock and Brendon, Landon, and Tristan Spencer; and two sisters: Marylin Cutler of Clearfield and Wilma “Billie” Snell of Lewiston, NY.

There will be no public visitation.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
