Obituary for Wava Jean Jordan
Wava Jean Jordan, 84, of Peyton, CO and formerly of Georgetown, TX and New Millport, PA, passed away Monday August 2, 2021 in Peyton, CO.
Born May 19, 1937 in New Millport, she was the daughter of Ardeth and Geraldine (Cross) Bloom.
Wava was a member of the former Salem Lutheran Church in New Millport and was a 1954 graduate of Curwensville Area High School. She continued her passion for learning at the former Clearfield Hospital School of Nursing and graduated in 1957 as a Registered Nurse. After her daughter Cindy was born, she became a stay-at-home mother. In 1980 she started working at Del Taco in Georget5own, TX, working her way up to the Assistant Manager position. In 1987, after not being in the nursing career field for over 25 years, Wava took a refresher course and aced it and began working at Scott and White in Temple, TX retiring after Sixteen years.
Wave is survived by a son Kenneth A. Jordan of Georgetown, TX and a daughter Wendy (Jordan) LaCroix and husband Michael of Peyton, CO. She is also survived by her siblings: Terry Bloom and Cheryl London and husband Gary of New Millport, Rodney Bloom and wife Ruthann and sister-in-law Roxie Bloom both of Clearfield.
In addition, she is also survived by six grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and her former husband Kenneth L. Jordan of Mahaffey.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Cindy Proct and two brothers Richard and Ardie Bloom.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville, PA on Thursday July 7, 2022 at 6:00 PM, with the Reverend Stephen D. Shields officiating.
Friends and family will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 5:00 PM until time of services at 6:00 PM.
