Obituary for William Lee "Stretch" Spencer
William Lee “Stretch” Spencer, 57, of DuBois, passed away Tuesday December 22, 2009 in Levittown, PA.

Born August 16, 1952 in the Clearfield Hospital, she was the son of William J. Spencer and Irene (Smith) Spencer Cook.  Mr. Spencer was the owner/operator of Spencer Trucking which was leased to PennWay, Inc. of DuBois.  He was United Methodist by faith, was a member of the Penfield Fireman’s, and was active in the Buddy Wagoner Memorial Bike Run.  He was a US Marine Corp Veteran of the Vietnam War.

On November 7, 1998 in Hepburnia he wed the former Dorothy L. Wagoner who survives along with his mother of Curwensville, a son William J. Spencer of Philipsburg, 2 stepchildren Christopher Hetrick and Brandy Hetrick both of DuBois, a grandson Henry “Romeo” Haag, and 3 sisters.  Verene Pent and her husband Timothy of Ephrata, Judy Hall and her husband Roger of Surfside Beach, SC, and Nancy Barrett and her husband Glenn of Curwensville.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Services for Mr. Spencer will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville, on Sunday December 27, 2009 at 2:00 PM, with the Reverend Emmett Anderson officiating.  Interment will be in the Friends Cemetery of Grampian.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday December 26 from 2 to 8 PM, and Sunday from 11:00 AM until time of services.

Military Honors will be accorded at the funeral home by members of the Clearfield Honor Guard.
