Obituary for William Louis "Bill" Dale
William Louis Dale, 88, of Curwensville, passed away Wednesday May 12, 2021 at Colonial Courtyard PCH.

Born November 10, 1932 in Curwensville, he was the son of Charles and Velma (Dodge) Dale. Mr. Dale was a career serviceman having served in the US Air Force for almost 23 years and retiring as a Master Sergeant (E-7). After retiring, he returned to Curwensville and had been employed by Errigo Distributing (Curwensville Beveridge) until his final retirement.

He was a member of the Curwensville VFW Post #842 and the Curwensville American legion Post #505, and was a former member of the Free & Accepted Masonic Lodge. He also was affiliated with the Curwensville First Baptist Church.

Surviving is a daughter Shawna Smeltzer and husband Sam of Clearfield; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a sister Beverly.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and infant daughter Mandy; a son John Scott; sisters Patricia and Donna; and a brother James.

At the request of Mr. Dale there will be no public visitation or funeral services.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Curwensville Public Library * 601 Beech Street * Curwensville, PA 16833.
