Obituary for Dorothy Marie Jones
Dorothy Marie Jones, 83, of Grampian, passed away Saturday June 14, 2014 at Penn Highlands Clearfield Hospital.
 
Born July 28, 1930 in Mt. Vernon, NY she was the Daughter of Cecil R.  and Hazel M. (Barrett) Antes.  She was a homemaker and also worked as a presser at Kent’s Sportswear. She was affiliated with Grampian Church of God and was a member of the Women of the Church of God. 
 
She is survived by 2 children Catherine A. Mullins and husband Ben of Curwensville, and Bonnie Vorderbrueggen and husband DeWayne of Industry.  Also surviving are 4 grandchildren 5 great grandchildren, a sister Minnie Cupler of Clearfield, and a brother Charles Antes and wife Gloria of Lancaster, OH.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband John H. Jones whom she wed November 27, 1947, her parents, 2 sons John Jones, and Boyce Jones, a brother Howard Andress  and a sister Ella Hinkle.
 
At the request of Mrs. Jones, there will be no public visitation and private graveside memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family in the Chapel of the Friends Cemetery in Grampian.  Interment will follow in the Cemetery.
 
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Special Olympics of Clearfield County P.O. Box 72 Curwensville, PA 16833, and The Alzheimer’s Association National Office, 225 N. Michigan Ave, Floor 17,  Chicago, IL 60601
