Obituary for Daniel Leslie Bailor
Daniel Leslie Bailor, 81, of Olanta, passed away Thursday October 24, 2013 at the Clearfield Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Born July 26, 1932 in Narehood, Clinton County, the son of Warren Leslie and Anna Mae (Smith) Bailor. Mr. Bailor retired as the shop foreman for Purcell Tire in Clearfield, and prior to that had worked for Clearfield Recapping. He was Methodist by Faith.
On June 21, 1952 in Clearfield, he wed the former Gretchen Gelnette who survives along with 4 children. Brenda M. Bailor Houston and Daniel J. “Chip” Bailor both of Clearfield, David L. Bailor and wife Jodi of Madera and Doug C. Bailor and wife Kathy of Olanta.
Also surviving are 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and four sisters. Janet Grice and husband Lynn “Scoot” and Florence Evanko and husband Joe both of Clearfield, Betty Pent of Curwensville, and Barbara Rowles of Rockton as well as an Aunt Ruth Smeal of Irvona.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother James Bailor.
At the request of Mr. Bailor there will be no public visitation and a private visitation and funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in the Bloomington Cemetery, Curwensville, PA.
The family suggests contributions be made to either the American Cancer Society, the American Lung Association, or the charity of the donor’s choice
