Obituary for Donald Clair Lockett
Donald Clair Lockett, 75, of Curwensville, passed away Saturday September 22, 2012 at Ridgeview Elder Care Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Curwensville.
 
Born June 12, 1937 in McCartney, he was the son of Clayton A. and Pearl (Freeman) Lockett Sr.  Mr. Lockett was retired as an assembly man for General Motors Corporation in both their North Tonawanda, NY and Georgia Plants.
 
He was a member of Community Baptist Church in Bloomington, was a former member of the Free & Accepted Masons in New York, and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
 
On March 15, 1958 in Curwensville, he wed the former Eloise C. Caldwell who survives along with 4 children.  Susan Roberson and husband Jeff of Mandeville, LA, Sandra Galvis of Atlanta, GA, Robert Lockett and his wife Virginia of North Carolina, and Jackie Grant of North Tonawanda, NY.
 
Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and 2 sisters.  Ruth Elensky and husband George of Clearfield and Gloria Katchman of Hyde.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Donald Lockett Jr., and 4 brothers Carl, Frank, Lee, and Clayton Jr. “Jack” Lockett.
 
Funeral Services for Mr. Lockett will be held at the Community Baptist Church 11555 Curwensville-Tyrone Highway (Bloomington) Curwensville, on Tuesday September 25, 2012 at 11:00 AM, with the Reverend Todd T. Hogue officiating.  Interment will be in the Friends Cemetery Grampian.
 
Friends will be received at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville, on Monday evening September 24 from 6 to 8 PM, and again on Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 AM, when the procession will depart for the church.
 
The family suggests contributions be made to the Community Baptist Church Building Fund 11555 Curwensville-Tyrone Highway Curwensville, PA 16833
