Obituary for Mary Ellen Krolick
Mary Ellen Krolick, 93, of San Antonio, TX, and formerly of Curwensville, passed away Friday June 24, 2011 at the North East Methodist Hospital, San Antonio, TX.
Born February 2, 1918 in Clarence, PA, she was the daughter of John and Mary (Soltis) Koshko. Mrs. Krolick was retired from the former Clearfield Cheese Co. in Curwensville She was a member of St. Healna Roman Catholic Chu4rch in San Antonio, TX, and was a former member of St. Timothy’s Roman Catholic Church in Curwensville.
She wed Steve W. Krolick in September of 1937 and who preceded her in death on April 13, 1976. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Denise Krolick Shaffer, 4 brothers John, Walter, Edward, and an infant son Walter Koshko and 3 sisters Infant Rose Koshko, Helen Koshko, and Martha Stecker.
Surviving are 2 daughters Barbara Hastings and husband Robert of San Antonio, TX, and Nanette Jameson-Lee of Lakeland, FL. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and a sister Margaret “Peggy” Koshko of Brooklyn, NY.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at St. Timothy’s Roman Catholic Church in Curwensville, PA on Friday July 8, 2011 at 10:00 AM, with Reverend Father Mark J. Mastrian as celebrant. Interment will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park. Hyde, PA.
Friends will be received at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Thursday July 7 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 PM, and Friday from 9 to 9:30 AM, when the procession will depart for the church.
The Rosary will be recited at 3 PM Thursday by members of St. Timothy’s Altar and Rosary Society and a Scripture Vigil Service will be conducted at 8 PM Thursday both at the funeral home.
The family suggests contributions be made to either the Curwensville Ambulance or the Rescue Hose and Ladder Co. 408-410 Filbert St. Curwensville, PA 16833
