Obituary for Edith Marie Anderson
Edith Marie Hadden Anderson, 88, of Roxboro, NC and formerly a longtime resident of Kerrmoor, passed away Monday December 20, 2010 at the Roxboro Nursing Home.
Born October 2, 1922 in Indiana, PA, she was the daughter of James and Nellie (Johnston) Hadden. Mrs. Anderson was a homemaker, a member of the Curry Run United Methodist Church, the GFWC New Millport Women’s Club, and the Susquehanna Grange.
She was first wed to James K. Donald who preceded her in death. She then wed Kemble Fredrick “Kim” Anderson on August 21, 1959 and who preceded her in death on January 17, 1997. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a great grandchild, 5 sisters and 2 brothers.
Surviving are two daughters Nancy Crittenden and her husband Larry of West Decatur and Jeanette Hurd and her husband Glenn of Milesburg, a son John Anderson and his wife Ruthann of Virgilina, VA, 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 2 brothers Harry B. Hadden of Smicksburg and James Hadden and his wife Betty of Arizona, and a sister Betty Smith of Marion Center.
Services for Mrs. Anderson will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Thursday January 13, 2011 at 11:00 AM, with the Reverend Howard Lindsey officiating. Interment will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde, PA.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday January 13 from 9:00 AM until time of services.
