Obituary for William Ralph Richards
William Ralph Richards, 71, of Clearfield passed away Tuesday December 6, 2016 at Penn Highlands Clearfield Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Born February 14, 2016 in Muncy, PA, he was the son of Earl Leroy and Shirley (Peoples) Richards. Mr. Richards had been a machinist, had worked for the former Clearfield Cheese and former Berg Electronics and retired after 26 years of being self-employed. He had served in the U S Army Reserves and was a member of the Olanta Lutheran Church.
On September 5, 1964 in Mahaffey, he wed the former Ida Mae Brink who survives along with two children Shawn Richards of Clearfield and Brenda Strickland and husband James of Curwensville. Also surviving are two grandchildren Emily Strickland of Pittsburgh and Noah Strickland of Curwensville along with a brother Earl L. Richards and wife Linda of Canoga Park, CA.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister Sherry Richards.
At the request of Mr. Richards there will be no public visitation and private memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Hill Crest Cemetery Clearfield.
