Obituary for Amanda E. Whitesell-Shepler
Amanda E. Whitesell-Shepler 45, of Glen Richey passed away Wednesday December 22, 2021 at Penn Highlands Dubois after a brief illness.
Born April 7, 1976 in Clearfield, she was the daughter of Kenneth and Edna (Dixon) Whitesell. She was employed by Cen-Clear Child Services where she Assisted in the Mental Health Division and was a Certified Peer Specialist.
She was a member of the Glen Richey Primitive Methodist Church, was a 1994 Graduate of Clearfield Area High School, was a life member of the Hyde Volunteer Fire Co., was a avid Bingo Player and Shopper, loved cows, and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Surviving are three children: Jack W. “Newt” Shepler II and his fiancée Lori A. Baldwin of Hyde, Elizabeth A. “Beth” Shepler of Wallaceton, and Kenneth S. Shepler of Glen Richey and her former husband Jack W. Shepler of Wallaceton. Also surviving are three grandchildren: Axel, Bryson, and Caisen Shepler of Hyde, three siblings: Philip Whitesell of Weedville, Carl Luzier and wife Cathy and Rhennae Martell and husband Steve both of Clearfield as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Dixie Luzier.
Services for Amanda Whitesell-Shepler will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Thursday December 30, 2021 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Duane Stiner officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Curwensville.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday December 29, 2021 from 2 PM to 4 PM and 6 PM to 8 PM and again on Thursday from 10 AM until time of services.
The family suggest memorial contribution be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
