Obituary for Mary Joanne Lash
Mary Joanne Lash, 85, of Curwensville, passed away Thursday January 18, 2018 at her residence.
Born July 12, 1932 in Curwensville, she was the daughter of John and Olive (Bilger) McKenrick. Joanne had worked at the former Clearfield Cheese Company in Curwensville and had also worked as a secretary at the Bald Eagle State Park. She was a member of St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church in Curwensville.
On January 27, 1951 she had wed Andrew J. Lash Sr. who preceded her in death on October 2, 2017. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a son Michael Lash and 3 brothers Glenn, Don and Gus McKenrick. She was the last member of her generation.
Surviving are 2 children: Andrew J. Lash Jr. of Curwensville and Bonnie Lash and her husband Chris Horowitz of Boston, a daughter-in-law Darlene Lash of Curwensville and 8 grandchildren: Derek, Jake, Lauren, Amanda, Nate, Sarah, Valerie and Sandi.
Funeral Services for Joanne Lash will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Saturday January 27, 2018 at 11:00 AM, with the Reverend Father L. Stephen Collins officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Curwensville.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:30 AM until time of services at 11:00 AM.
