Obituary for Albert Vincent Rebon
Albert Vincent Rebon, 87, of Curwensville, passed away Monday June 8, 2009 at the Clearfield Hospital.

Born July 21, 1921 in Olanta, he was the son of Robert and Agnes (Rackovan) Rebon. Mr. Rebon worked for the North American Refractories Co. (NARCO) as a machinist retiring in 1983 after 46 years of service. He was a member of the United Brick and Clay Workers Union Local #448 where he served as a past President. He was a member of St. Timothy’s Roman Catholic Church of Curwensville.
 
He was a US Army Veteran of World War II, serving in both the North Africa and European Theaters.
 
On August 23, 1947 in Curwensville, he wed the former Margaret Ann Carlo who survives along with 2 children; Cindy Rebon of Curwensville and Mark Rebon of Macungie, PA. Also surviving are 2 sisters and 2 brothers; Mary Kavala, Agnes “Bunny” Krolick, Edward Rebon and his wife Jean, and Robert Rebon and his wife Beth all of Curwensville.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant sister Ann Rebon, and a brother Joseph Rebon.
 
Mr. Rebon was a devoted husband and loving father.
 
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Timothy’s Roman Catholic Church in Curwensville on Thursday June 11, 2009 at 11:00 AM with Reverend Father Mark J. Mastrian as Celebrant. Interment will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde, PA
 
At the request of Mr. Rebon, there will be no public visitation.
 
Military Honors will be accorded at the church by members of the Clearfield American Legion and VFW Joint Honor Guard.
 
The family suggests contributions be made to either St, Timothy’s Father Niebling Memorial Building Fund, the Clearfield County S.P.C.A., or the Curwensville Public Library.
