Obituary for Ann Madeline Lutz
Ann Madeline Lutz, 81, of Curwensville, passed away Monday December 3, 2012 at UPMC Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born July 22, 1931 in Curwensville, she was the daughter of Frank and Hedviga (Kubista) Stricek. Mrs. Lutz was a homemaker and also had worked at the Sealtest Dairy in Curwensville, the Clearfield Cheese Co. in Curwensville, and had also worked as a secretary for St. Timothy’s Roman Catholic Church in Curwensville.
She was a member of St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church and also a member of the Altar and Rosary Society.
She had wed Joseph Lewis Lutz on June 28, 1958 and who preceded her in death on January 12, 1984. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters Mary Jendrisak, Millie Hewitt and Verna Vrabel and 3 brothers Steve, Henry and Francis Stricek.
Surviving are 3 children: Linda Hillman and husband Frank of McKinney, TX, Carolyn Irwin and husband Charles Jr. of Curwensville, and Stanley Lutz and wife Susan of Lebanon, PA..
Also surviving are 11 grandchildren: Christine New, Laura Frei, Jessica Gruber, John Hillman, Nate Irwin, Cara Irwin, Leah Irwin, Kyle Irwin, Joseph Lutz, Natalie Lutz, and Allison Lutz. 2 great grandchildren Jacob New and Michael Frei, 3 sisters and 2 brothers. JoAnne Veltri of Brockway, Elizabeth Bungo of Baden, PA, John Stricek and Helen Stricek both of Curwensville, and Joseph Stricek and wife Virginia of Wyomissing, PA.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church in Curwensville on Friday December 7, 2012 at 10:00 AM, with the Reverend Fr. Mark J. Mastrian as celebrant. Interment will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park of Hyde.
Friends will be received at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Thursday December 6 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM, and Friday From 9 until 9:40 AM, when the procession will depart for the church. The Rosary will be recited by members of St. Timothy’s Altar and Rosary Society Thursday at 3 PM followed by the Scripture Vigil Services to be conducted at 7:45 PM, both at the funeral home.
The family suggests contribution be made to any one of the charitable funds at St. Timothy’s Church 306 Walnut St. Curwensville, PA 16833
