Obituary for Anthony Patrick Scrano
Anthony Patrick Scrano, 86, of Clearfield, passed away Thursday April 4, 2013 at the Clearfield Hospital.

Born November 21, 1926 in Madera, he was the son of Frederick and Felicia (Nardo) Scrano. Mr. Scrano was a Stone Mason and Bricklayer, having worked for the International Bricklayers and Allied Craftsmen Union.

He was a member of St. Francis Roman Catholic Church in Clearfield, a U S Naval Veteran of the Second World War, and a member of the Clearfield Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Clearfield Sons of Italy.

On May 17, 1947 in Houtzdale, he wed the former Jean Cupp who survives along with 3 daughters. Linda Law and husband John and Annette Fishbone and husband Daniel both of Clearfield, and Cynthia Himes and husband Laurence of York. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren: Richard Law, Kate Law Rhodes, Catherine Himes, Patrick Himes, Scott Fishbone, and Abby Fishbone, as well as a brother Frank Scrano of Clearfield.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 4 sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at St. Francis Roman Catholic Church in Clearfield, on Monday April 8, 2013 at 10:00 AM, with Reverend Msgr Henry Krebs as Celebrant. Interment will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Olanta, PA

Friends will be received at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of 16 N. Front St. Clearfield on Sunday April 7 from 3 to 5 PM, and Monday from 9 until 9:40 AM, when the procession will depart for the church.

A Scripture Vigil Service will be conducted on Sunday at 4:45 PM at the funeral home.

The family suggests contributions be made to the charity of the donors choice.
