Obituary for Barbara Lee Bowery
Barbara Lee Bowery, 66, of Kerr Addition, passed away Sunday September 11, 2011 at the Clearfield Hospital.
 
Born June 26, 1945 in Clearfield, she was the daughter of Fred H. and Mary Grace (Ross) Bowery.  She was first employed at the Washington Federal Bank as a Supervisor for 18 years and then worked for Lab Corporation of America as a trainer for 16 years.  She had lived in Herndon, VA for 45 years.  She was also a member of the Centre Grove United Methodist Church.
 
Surviving is a brother Frank Bowery and his wife Deborah and a sister Linda Ressler and her husband Robert both of Clearfield.  Also surviving are 7 nieces and nephews.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents.
 
Graveside Committal Services for Miss Bowery will be held at the Centre Cemetery in Hyde on Friday September 16, 2011 at 6:00 PM, with the Reverend George W. Solley officiating.  Interment will follow in the cemetery.
 
At the request of Miss Bowery, there will be no public visitation.
 
The family suggests contributions be made to either the American Cancer Society 26 S. 2nd Street Clearfield, PA 16830, the American Diabetes Association 3544 N. Progress Avenue Suite 602 Harrisburg, PA 17110, or the American Heart Association 501 Howard Avenue Altoona, PA  16601.
