Obituary for Betty Seger Fritch
Betty Seger Fritch, 85, who made her home with her nephew Kenneth Barrett and his wife Pat, of Douglas Road Olanta, and formerly of Grampian, passed away Wednesday January 6, 2010 at the Clearfield Hospital.
Born February 16, 1924 in Grampian, she was the daughter of Alfred B. “Jake” and Mary Etta (Wriglesworth) Seger. Mrs. Fritch was retired from the former Superior Pet Products of Curwensville and was a member of the Hepburnia United Methodist Church.
On July 13, 1981 in Clearfield, she wed Howard Worth Fritch who preceded her in death on February 26, 1989. She was also preceded in death by her parents, brothers Alfred, Commodore, and George Seger, a sister Beulah Barrett and an infant sister Arbutis Seger. She was the last member of her generation.
Surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Fritch will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville, on Saturday January 9, 2010 at 1:00 PM, with the Reverend Todd T. Hogue officiating. Interment will be in the Friends Cemetery, Grampian, PA.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday January 8 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM, and Saturday from 11:00 AM, until time of services.
