Obituary for Blanche B. Witherow
Blanche B. Witherow, 93, a resident of MariLoyd Nursing Home, and formerly of New Millport, passed away Saturday July 18, 2009 at the nursing home. Â
Born March 7, 1916 in New Millport, she was the daughter of Mark and Dora (Hunter) Witherow. Miss Witherow was retired as a clerical worker first working for Workman’s Manufacturing Corp, then the former Master Chrysler Plymouth of Clearfield, then retiring from PennDot. She was a member of the Fruit Hill Presbyterian Church of New Millport RD, and was the former Secretary of Knox Township. Â
Surviving is a sister-in-law Ann Witherow of Clearfield, as well as several nieces and nephews. Â
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Raymond Witherow and a sister Mildred Ardary. She was the last member of her generation. Â
Services for Miss Witherow will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Wednesday July 22, 2009 at 2:00 PM. With Mr. Richard Barkley officiating. Interment will be in the Fruit Hill Cemetery, New Millport RD. Â
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1:00 PM until time of services. Â
