Obituary for Bruce Milton Amon
Bruce Milton Amon, 93, of Woodland, passed away Monday September 9, 2013 at his residence, after a lengthy illness.

Born July 26, 1920 in Croft, PA, he was the son of John and Zanna (Watson) Amon. Mr. Amon owned and operated Amon Trucking for many years. He was a U S Army Veteran of World War II.

He was United Methodist by Faith, a member of the Clearfield American Legion Post 6 , the Clearfield Lions Club, and a past board member and past 4 term president of the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging.

On December 24, 1946 he wed the former Sophie Zebrun who preceded him in death on June 13, 2005. He was also preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving are two sons Larry Amon of Clearfield and John Amon and wife Connie of Woodland. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and a brother Donald Amon of San Antonio, TX.

Services for Mr. Amon will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Clearfield on Friday September 13, 2013 at 11:00 AM, with the Reverend Dr. Duane A. White officiating. Interment will be in the Eden Cemetery, LeContes Mills.

Friends will be received at the Funeral Home on Thursday evening September 12 from 6 to 8 PM, and again Friday morning from 9:30 AM until time of services at 11:00 AM. Military Honors will be accorded at the funeral home by members of the Clearfield Honor Guard.
