Obituary for Catherine Marie Lanager
Catherine Marie Lanager, 80, of Curwensville, passed away Monday May 10, 2021 at her residence.
Born December 21. 1940 in Clearfield, she was the daughter of James and Margaret Jeanette (Dixon) Fry. Ms. Lanager had worked for Kent’s Sportswear in Curwensville, as a clerk for Goodwill Industries, and had also worked for Dr. McClure as a caregiver. She also was a member of the Susquehanna Community Church in Curwensville.
She is survived by 4 children: Tina Lanager of Curwensville; Laura Coulter and husband Bill of Osceola Mills; Paula Lockett of Kellytown, and James Eric Lanager and wife Kimberly of Severn, MD. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and a great great granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers Jerry, Donald, and James Fry and an infant sister Sandy Fry. She was the last member of her generation.
Funeral Services for Catherine Lanager will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Saturday May 15, 2021 at 11:00 AM, with the Reverend Lowell MacDonald officiating. Interment will follow in the Bradford Cemetery in Woodland.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday May 14, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and again on Saturday from 10:00 AM until time of services at 11:00 AM.
