Obituary for Concetta C. Sorento
Concetta Sorento, 98, of Curwensville, passed away Wednesday January 5, 2022 at Ridgeview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Curwensville.
Born October 6, 1923, she was the daughter of Antonio and Marie (Perello) Sorento. Ms. Sorento had managed the former Sorento Grocery Store in Curwensville. She was a member of St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church in Curwensville.
Surviving is a brother Bruno Sorento of New Alexandria as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters Rose M. Shearer, Victoria Catalano, and Decelina Accordino, a brother Anthony Sorento, and a nephew George Shearer.
At the request of Miss Sorento there will be no public visitation.
A private Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church in Curwensville with Reverend Father Stephen Collins as Celebrant. Interment will be in the Styers Cemetery LLC in Hyde.
