Obituary for David A. Pry
David A. Pry, 79, of Woodland, passed away early Friday morning August 12, 2011 at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
 
Born July 2, 1932 in Clearfield, he was the son of Joseph and Beulah (Rowles) Pry.  Mr. Pry was retired from Lawrence Township as a heavy equipment operator.  He was a U S Air Force Veteran of the Korean War.
 
He was a charter member of the Glen Richey Vol. Fire Dept., a member of the Central District Vol. Fireman’s Association, the Clearfield Creek Rifle Club, and both the Clearfield American Legion and VFW.
 
On December 16, 1957, he wed the former Darlene K. Read who survives along with 3 children.  Debra Lewis and husband Jeff of Orange Park, FL, David A. Pry and wife Cheryl of Curwensville, and Edward D. Pry of Woodland
 
In Addition there are 7 grandchildren Jeffi Lewis and wife Amy of Orange Park, FL, Justin Lewis and wife Michelle of Maine, Tricia Rothrock and husband Tiger of Wallaceton, Sonja Rudy and husband “JR” of Curwensville, Adam Pry and Bryan Pry both of Woodland, and Kira Johnston and husband Brad of Clearfield, and 6 great grandchildren.
 
Also surviving are a sister and 5 brothers.  Sarah Lumadue of West Decatur, Albert Pry of Curwensville, Paul Pry and wife Dee of Woodland, Joe Pry and wife San and Ken Pry and wife Carole both of Mineral Springs, Sam Pry and wife Delores of Cherry Tree, a sister-in-law Linda Pry of Woodland, a brother-in-law Dwight Read and wife Ruth, 2 sisters-in-law Joyce Mohney and husband Don and Joan Gill and husband Mike as well as several nieces and nephews. 
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Bessie Brown and a brother Richard.
 
Funeral Services for Mr. Pry will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Clearfield on Sunday August 14, 2011 at 3:00 PM, with the Reverend Kenneth Pry Officiating. 
 
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 12:00 Noon until time of services at 3:00 PM.
 
Military Honors will be accorded at the funeral home by members of the Clearfield Honor Guard.
 
He family suggests contributions be made to the Bible Tabernacle c/o Rev. Kenneth Pry 45 Hidden Valley Road, Box 8, Mineral Springs, PA  16855.
