Obituary for Eva Hart Thompson
Eva H. Thompson, 88, of Curwensville, passed away Saturday September 4, 2010 at Jeanes Hospital in Philadelphia.
Born June 15, 1922 in Terre Haute, IN, she was the daughter of John and Edith (Murdoch) Hart. Mrs. Thompson was a homemaker, had attended the Curwensville United Methodist Church, and was a former member of the Episcopal Faith.
On October 7, 1950 at St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Clearfield, she wed Philip Bell Thompson who preceded her in death on January 21, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Patricia Thompson, a sister Esther McNaul, and a brother William Hart.
Surviving is a son Mark Allen Thompson and his domestic partner Tatiana Varava of Denver, CO, three granddaughters Jessica Sue Walters, Morgen Rae Thompson and Nicole Varava, and a sister Margaret Pentz of Erie.
Services for Mrs. Thompson will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville On Wednesday September 8, 2010 at 5 PM, with the Reverend Stephen Shields officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Curwensville.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3 to 7 PM.
The family suggests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society 26 South Second Street Clearfield, PAÂ 16830.
