Obituary for Florence Catherine Reed
Florence Catherine Reed, 90, a resident of Ridgeview Elder Care Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and formerly of Olanta, passed away Friday June 25, 2010 at the nursing center.

Born November 2, 1919 in Summerville, PA, she was the daughter of William Andrew and Olive May (Sayers) Monrean.  Mrs. Reed was a member of the Faith Bible Church in Lumber City and was retired from the former MacGregor Sportswear of Curwensville and Clearfield.

She was wed to Paul Edward Reed in December of 1940 and who preceded her in death on October 25, 1994.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter Tracey Lynn Mosley, a grandson Ricky Lee Bray, and brothers Roy and Blaine Monrean.

Surviving are 3 daughters Betty Jane Mosley and her husband Robert and Linda May Bray and her husband Larry J. both of York, PA and Sally Ann Round and her husband William J. of Olanta.  Also surviving are 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and a brother and a sister Ethel Miller and John Monrean both of Summerville.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Reed will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Sunday June 27, 2010 at 3:00 PM, with the Reverend Scott Schultz officiating.  Interment will be in the Fruit Hill Cemetery, RD New Millport, PA. 

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 PM until time of services.

The family suggests contributions to either the Central PA Chapter of the American Diabetes Association 3544 N. Progress Avenue Harrisburg, PA 17110-9638 or the Clearfield Foundation for Health – Hospice  P.O. Box 992 Clearfield, PA 16830-0992.
