Obituary for Frances Ann Buchanan
: Frances Ann Buchanan, 84, of Smithmill, passed away Tuesday September 8, 2020 at the Tyrone Hospital.
Born October 21, 1935 om Dola, WV, she was the daughter of Paul Robert and Mildred Gay (Steele) Drain. She had been employed by the former Freezer Queen Frozen Foods in Buffalo, NY and also had worked at Rite Aid Pharmacy Stores.
Surviving are 4 children: Barbara Lee Powell of Buffalo, NY, Sandra K. Hallman and husband Orville Jr. and Cheryl Buchanan both of Smithmill, and Jack S. Buchanan and fiancée Tracy Espositi of Houtzdale.
Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren; 4 siblings: Pauline Robson, Jack Drain and wife July, and Donald Drain all of WV, Robert Drain and wife Diane of East Otto, NY as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Dolly Hostutler and brothers Ronald and Darius Drain.
There will be no public visitation and private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in the Beverly Hills Cemetery in Morgantown, WV.
The family suggests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society * 108R N. Second Street * Clearfield, PA 16830.
