Gary L. Martin
Philipsburg: Gary Lee Martin, 70, of the Philipsburg Towers, North Front Street Philipsburg, passed away Saturday February 28, 2009 at the DuBois Regional Medical Center in DuBois, PA.
Born April 29, 1938 in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of John Henry and Ruby Mae (Smith) Martin. Mr. Martin was retired from Lester Castings Industries in Ohio, and the Public Grocery Stores in Florida. He was Baptist by faith.
Surviving are two children Tressa and Jeffrey Martin both of Ohio, three sisters and a brother. Sherry Felske and her husband Dale of New Liberty, Philipsburg RD, Bonnie Eazor and husband Richard of Brockport, Ruby Day of Brockway, and John Edward Martin of Palm Harbor, FL. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his stepfather Willard Day.
Services for Mr. Martin, will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville, on Tuesday March 3, 2009 at 1:00 PM, with Pastor David Kyler officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Curwensville.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday March 2 from 7 to 9 PM, and Tuesday from 12 Noon until time of services.
The family suggests contributions be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
