Born October 27, 1947 in Clearfield, he was the son of Llewelyn J. and Alice (Milliron) Simcox. Mr. Simcox was the Owner/Operator of Simcox Trucking, Inc., and had also served in the National Guard. He was a former member of the Noble Lodge #489 F. & A. M. in Curwensville, and a former member of the Clearfield Shrine Club and the Jaffa Shrine.
On August 31, 1968 in Clearfield, he wed the former Lorna E. Carter who survives along with three children: Keith Simcox and wife Tanya of Curwensville, Kevin J. Simcox and significant other Carol “Missy” Aughenbaugh and Katrina Brink and husband Alan both of Clearfield.
Also surviving are six grandchildren, one great grandson and a sister Linda Chuhran of Ebensburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Services for George Simcox will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Wednesday March 28, 2018 at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Brenda Libreatori officiating.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday March 27 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM and again on Wednesday from 10 AM until time of services at 11 AM.
