Obituary for Henry Joseph Teklinski
Henry Joseph Teklinski, 63, of Curwensville, passed away Saturday July 24, 2010 at the Clearfield Hospital.Â
Born July 25, 1946 in Charlottesville, VA, he was the son of Henry Stanislaw and Julia Frances (Layne) Teklinski. Mr. Teklinski had served as an American General Insurance Agent for many years, and was currently the General Manager of the American General Office in Hyde, PA.
He was a U S Army veteran of the Vietnam War and had also served and was retired from the Pennsylvania National Guard. He was a member of St. Bonaventure’s Roman Catholic Church in Grampian, was a member of the American Legion and also the Curwensville VFW Post 842.Â
On October 28, 1969, he wed the former Ramona Polites who survives along with 3 daughters. Jennifer Lynn Teklinski and her Fiancee Mark Brown of Clearfield, Janice Leigh Friday and her husband James of New Market, MD and Jessica Layne Spencer and her husband Jason of Curwensville.Â
Also surviving are 2 grandsons Christopher K. Leonard and Cory M. Leonard, a sister Marcella Morse and her husband Jonathon and a brother Edwin Teklinski both of Denver, CO, and a brother James Teklinski of Virginia. He is also survived by his extended family Stacey Best, Jennifer Strickland, and Amy Sunderland.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends and family will be received at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Wednesday July 28, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family, and Graveside Committal Services and Military Honors will be held at a later date.
