Born October 28, 1939 in Clearfield, she was the daughter of Stanley and Wilna (McGarvey) Thurston. She started and was the Owner/Operator of Champions Choice Sports in Curwensville. She was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church in New Millport.
On June 21, 1959 in New Millport, she wed Fred A. Redden who preceded her in death on July 20, 2016. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother Roger Thurston.
Surviving are 4 sons: Rick Redden and wife Lisa and Fred Redden and wife Jill both of Clearfield, Chris Redden and Fiancée Tammy Newpher of Curry Run and Scott Redden and wife Pam of New Millport. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren: Nick Redden, Andrew Redden, Ashley Bortot and husband Kris, Raeleigh Redden and Makeeli Redden and 2 great grandchildren Rylen and Owen Bortot.
In addition, she is survived by a sister and 2 brothers: Trudy E. Adam of Clearfield, Dana C. Thurston and significant other Marilyn of Binghamton, NY and Dwight F. Thurston and significant other Caroline of Clearfield.
Funeral Services for Icie Redden will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Thursday January 10, 2019 at 11:00 AM, with the Reverend Robert J. Way officiating.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday January 9 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM and again on Thursday from 10 AM until time of services at 11 AM.
