Obituary for Joseph Ralph Dale
Joseph Ralph Dale, 86, of Curwensville, passed away Thursday August 12, 2021 at his residence.
Born May 16, 1935 in Curwensville, he was the son of Clayton and Faye (Freeman) Dale. Mr. Dale retired as the Purchasing Agent for Kurtz Brothers in Clearfield.
He was a U S Army Veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Curwensville United Methodist Church and the Clearfield B.P.O.E Lodge #540.
He enjoyed playing golf, and visits from family and friends, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
On November 20, 1954 he wed the former Doris Bowden who survives along with two children: Douglas Dale and wife Debbie of Punxsutawney and Cheryl Sutika and husband John of Grampian.
Also surviving are six grandchildren: Douglas Dale Jr., Lauren Hospodar and husband Jeremy, Clayton Dale, Michelle Bennett and husband Joseph, John Sutika Jr., and Brett Sutika; four great grandchildren: Elliott and Carson Hospodar and Judson and Lillian Bennett; a brother Robert Dale of Sewickley; and a sister Madeline Curry and husband Raymond of Alexandria, VA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son Richard Allen Dale, and two brothers Freeman and Kenneth Dale.
Funeral Services for Joseph Dale will be held at the Curwensville United Methodist Church * 602 State Street * Curwensville on Saturday August 14, 2021 at 2:00 PM, with Pastor DeAnn Newhouse officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Curwensville.
Friends will be received at the church on Saturday from 1:00 PM until time of services at 2:00 PM.
