Obituary for Louella Serba Michaels
Louella Serba Michaels, 88, who made her home with her son in Hurst, TX, and formerly of New Millport and Warren, passed away Tuesday November 10, 2009 at her residence after a lengthy illness.
Born April 13, 1921 in New Millport, she was the daughter of Park and Isabell (Craig) Rea. She was retired from GTE/Sylvania in Warren, and had also worked as a beautician. She was a past member of the Oak Ridge Union Church near Erhard.
She wed Frank Serba who preceded her in death. She then wed Sam Michaels who also preceded her in death. In addition she was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Lawrence Rea, and sisters Margaret Hamm and Betty Pierce.
Surviving are 2 sons. Dennis Serba and his wife Barbara of Hurst, TX and Leonard Michaels of Sugar Grove, PA. Also surviving is a granddaughter Jillian of Mass., a grandson Todd Serba of Bedford, TX., 4 great grandchildren, and a sister Dorothy Hilditch of Niagara Falls, NY.
Services for Mrs. Michaels will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Friday November 13, 2009 at 11:00 AM, with the Reverend Charles M. Lee Jr. officiating. Interment will be in the Fruit Hill Cemetery, New Millport RD.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday November 12 from 6:30 to 9:00 PM, and Friday from 10:00 AM until time of services.
