Obituary for Marian A. Lewis
Marian A. Lewis, 88, of Hyde passed away Monday August 8, 2016 at UPMC Altoona Regional Hospital.
Born January 6, 1928 in LaJose, PA, she was the daughter of James C. and Henrietta (Bouch) Hutton. Mrs. Lewis was a homemaker and a member of the Parsonville Assembly of God.
On October 8, 1945 in Clearfield she wed David W. “Bud” Lewis who survives along with six children. Carolyn L. Lender and husband Darold of Osceola Mills; Kerry W. Lewis and wife Christine, Janet L. Osborn and husband Mark, Patricia J. Prisk and husband Kenneth and Betsy L. Kester and husband Ralph all of Curwensville; and David L. Lewis and wife Joanne of West Decatur.
Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and a sister Pansy Termin of Curwensville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson Kevin Osborn, five brothers Joseph, Delmont, Eugene, Floyd and Carlton Hutton, a sister Eleanor George and a daughter-in-law Helen (Hamilton) Lewis.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Lewis will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Friday August 12, 2016 at 11:00 AM, with Pastors Ernest Simmers and George W. Solley co-officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery Curwensville.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday August 11 from 5 to 8 PM and again on Friday morning from 10 AM until time of services.
The family suggests contributions be made to either the American Cancer Society 26 S. Second Street Clearfield, PA 16833 of the American Heart Association 610 Community Way Lancaster, PA 17603
