Obituary for Mary Jo Harry
Mary Jo Harry, 65, of Clearfield, passed away Saturday evening March 10, 2018 at her residence after a lengthy illness.
Born May 1, 1952 in Clearfield, she was the daughter of Raymond and Thelma (Carns) Diehl. She had worked as a caseworker for the PA Dept. of Public Welfare and retired after 20 years of service. She was a 1970 graduate of Clearfield Area High School.
On July 24, 1971 at the Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Clearfield she wed Theodore “Teddy” Harry who survives along with two children. Alise Barr and husband Brian of Clearfield and Andrew Harry and wife Alyssa of McLean, VA.
Also surviving are 5 grandchildren: Nathan Barr, Nolan Barr, Renee Barr, Sean Harry and Brynn Harry, a sister Karen Wilson and husband Paul of Brockway, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Larry and s sister Diana.
A “Celebration of Life” Service will be conducted for Mary Jo Barr at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Clearfield on Friday March 16, 2018 at 2:00 PM.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 Noon until time of services at 2:00 PM
The family suggests contributions be made to either Metavivor Reseach and Support (Breast Cancer Research) 1783 Forest Drive #184 Annapolis, MD 21401 or the charity of the donor’s choice.
