Obituary for Mary Lee Herr
Mary Lee Herr, 82, of Curwensville, passed away Saturday May 23, 2015 at her residence after a brief illness.

Born August 2, 1932 in Clearfield, she was the daughter of Stephen and Virginia (McLaughlin) Miller. Mrs. Herr was retired as a secretary for Kurtz Brothers School Supplies in Clearfield. She was a member of St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church in Curwensville where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She also was a member of the GFWC Woman’s Club of Curwensville.

On September 20, 1952 in Curwensville, she wed Eldon Herr who preceded her in death on December 12, 2014. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother David Miller.

Surviving are 2 nieces whom she considered daughters having raised them from a young age Lisa Gasper and husband George of Curwensville and Amy Hollback of New Jersey. Also surviving are 3 great nieces and nephews whom she considered grandchildren Mason, Hayden, and Marlee Gasper. In addition she is survived by a brother Edward Miller of Florida.

At the request of the family there will be no public visitation.

A public Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church in Curwensville on Friday May 29, 2015 at 10:00 AM, with the Reverend Father Mark J. Mastrian as celebrant. Interment will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park in Hyde, PA

The family suggests contributions be made to St. Timothy Altar and Rosary Society 306 Walnut Street Curwensville, PA 16833.
