Obituary for Mary Lou Adelaide Stewart
Mary Lou Adelaide Stewart, 92, of Wilmerding and formerly of Curwensville, passed away Thursday January 10, 2019 at UPMC East in Monroeville.
Born November 21, 1926 in Goshen, she was the daughter of Neal and Meda (Brobeck) Coon. She was a graduate of Clearfield High School and went on to work in the secretarial department at the U S Pentagon. She also was excellent homemaker and later on had worked as a receptionist for the Rich Chiropractic Clinic. She was a member of the Community Baptist Church in Bloomington.
After her retirement, she enjoyed being with her family and traveling. She always had time to spend with her family and sharing stories of life growing up on the Coon Family Farm in Goshen. She will be greatly missed by all.
She first wed Robert O. Lumadue who preceded her in death. She then wed Robert E. Stewart on March 14, 1954 and who preceded her in death on July 13, 2013. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a sister Julia Hummel. She was the last member of her generation.
Surviving are 4 children: Andrew Lumadue and wife Vicki of Santa Clara, CA, Dr. Ganelle Lumadue Dippe’ and husband Jerry of Sebastopol, CA Trudy Lee Stewart Ensminger and husband William “Bill” of Brooksville, FL, and Della Rea Stewart Miller and husband Michael of Export, PA Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and a great great grandchild.
Services for Mary Lou Stewart will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Saturday January 12, 2019 at 3:00 PM, with the Reverend Todd T. Hogue officiating. Interment will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park in Hyde, PA.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 PM until time of services at 3:00 PM.
