Obituary for Melanie Lois Johnston
Melanie Lois Johnston 33, of Durham, NC, and formerly of Clearfield, passed away Monday September 27, 2010 at the Memorial Houston Hermann Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Born October 19, 1976 in Pittsburgh, PA she was the daughter of Charles R. “Buzz” Jr. and Linda Ann (Buzzanca) Johnston. She was a 1994 graduate of Dubois Central Catholic High School and graduate of Pittsburgh University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She was Unitarian by faith. She was employed by Burt’s Bees Products as a Sales Representative. She was active in the Local Theatre in Durham, NC.
She is survived by her parents of Clearfield, 1 brother Charles R. Johnston III and his wife Sonya, and her twin sister Melinda Johnston all of Clearfield. Her Fiancée Lee Shadduck of Sykesville, PA, and a niece Hannah Garner of Clearfield.
Friends will be received at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc of Clearfield on Friday October 15, 2010 from 4-8 PM. Private Funeral Services will be held at the convenience of the family with Father Michael DeMartinis officiating.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation Inc., 2600 Network Blvd. Suite 300 Frisco, TX 75034.
