Obituary for Pauline Mary Bennett
Pauline Mary Bennett, 80, of Curwensville, passed away Thursday July 28, 2011 at the UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born June 23, 1931 in Williamsport, she was the daughter of Eugene and Lauretta (Baurer) Callahan. Mrs. Bennett had first worked for the former Super Duper Market in Clearfield as the Head Cashier, and then worked for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation in the Driver’s License Office in Clearfield, PA.
She was a member of St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church in Curwensville.
On November 26, 1953 in Williamsport, she wed Clarence T. “Sonny” Bennett who survives along with a son Patrick Bennett and his wife Denise of Curwensville. Also surviving are 2 grandsons Daniel Bennett and his wife Missy of Hollidaysburg and Joseph Bennett and his wife Michelle of Grampian and 2 great grandchildren Alison and Matthew Bennett of Hollidaysburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters Catherine Vogel and Ruth Folk and 2 brothers Harold and Bernard Callahan. She was the last member of her generation.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church in Curwensville on Monday August 1, 2011 at 1:30 PM, with Reverend Father Mark J. Mastrian as Celebrant. Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery Curwensville, PA.
Friends will be received at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Sunday July 31 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM, and Monday from 12:00 Noon until 1:15 PM when the procession will depart for the church.
The Rosary will be recited by members of St. Timothy’s Altar and Rosary Society Sunday at 3:00 PM with a Scripture Vigil Service to be conducted at 6 PM Sunday both at the funeral home.
