Richard S. “Dick” Hoover
Curwensville: Richard S. “Dick” Hoover 89 of Curwensville passed away Friday January 6, 2023.
Born September 17, 1933 in Clearfield he was the son of William and Elizabeth (Deemer) Hoover. He was owner/ operator of Hoovers Garage in Curwensville for over 30 years.
He also served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War.
On September 15, 1956 in Clearfield, he wed Jane T. (Seaburn) Hoover who preceded him in August of 2022. He was also preceded in death by his parents, brothers Jim, Ike, Hughy, and Fred Hoover. sisters Thressa, and Rachel.
He is survived by 2 sons Darren Hoover and his significant other Carol Maines of Curwensville and Brian Hoover and his wife Vicky of Houtzdale. 2 grandsons Brian Hoover Jr. and Tyler Hoover. And brothers and sisters Roy Hoover, Elsie Riddle, and Jeff Hoover.
At the request of Mr. Hoover there will be no public visitation and private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
