Curwensville: William Harris, 77, of Curwensville, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2009, at the Clearfield Hospital.
Born July 27, 1931 in Morris Township, Clearfield County, he was the son of William and Margaret (Folger) Harris. Mr. Harris was retired as a mechanic for the Howell Township Public Works Department in Howell Township, New Jersey.
 
He wed the former Maria Tiberi in Beechwood, NJ, whom he had been with since 1969 and survives along with 4 children: Donald Lally and wife Janet of Colorado, Doreen St. Cyr and her significant other Rod Calimer of the Poconos, PA, Ann Marie and husband Steve of DuBois and Wendy Smith and husband Greg of Curwensville.
 
Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and the following brothers and sisters: Dick Harris and wife Sue, Peggy Litzinger and husband Joe and Shirley McKee and husband John all of Olanta, James Harris and wife Letta and Roy Harris both of Kellytown, Daniel Harris and Robert Harris both of Curwensville, Ruby and husband Frank of New Jersey, Kenneth Harris of Kentucky, and Eleanor Harris of DuBois.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister Irene. Services for Mr. Harris will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Sunday April 5, 2009 at 6:00 PM, with Mr. Gary B. Jewart officiating.
 
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 4 PM until time of services.
 
Contributions may be made to the family in care of Mrs. Maria Harris, 101 Filbert St. Curwensville, PA 16833.
 
The Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville is in charge of the arrangements.
