Born May 6, 1931 in Atlantic, Clearfield County, he was the son of Mick and Julia F. (Hancharick) Rebar. Mr. Rebar was a coal miner and was retired from the former Howes Leather Co. in Curwensville.
He was a U S Army Veteran of the Korean War, was a member of St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church in Curwensville, and was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Surviving are a brother Mickles Rebar and his wife Darlene of Osceola Mills and a sister Juliann Zendak and husband Lawrence of Falls Church, VA as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters Frances, Margaret, and Mary Rebar; and five brothers John, Paul, Andrew, Vincent, and Leonard Rebar.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church in Curwensville on Friday September 10, 2021 at 10:00 AM, with the Reverend Father A. Stephen Collins as Celebrant. Interment will be in the St. Bonaventure Cemetery in Grampian.
Friends will be received at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Thursday evening September 9 from 6 to 8 PM, and again on Friday morning from 9 to 9:30 AM, when the procession will depart for the church.
Military Honors will be accorded at the church by members of the Clearfield Honor Guard.
