Donald Harvey Leonard, 73, of Grampian, passed away early Saturday morning July 18, 2015 at Penn Highlands DuBois.

Born February 5, 1942 in Clearfield, he was the son of Kenneth B. and Mildred (Peoples) Leonard. Mr. Leonard had first worked in the White House as a Presidential Secretary for 11 years under the Kennedy, Johnson, and Nixon Administrations. He was retired from the North American Refractories Company. He was a member of the Bible Fellowship Church, Luthersburg and was a former member of the Curwensville L.O.O.M.

On September 21, 1963 in Washington DC, he wed the former Mary Hanley who survives along with 5 children. Donald H. Leonard Jr. and wife Lisa and Thomas P. Leonard both of Grampian, Deborah M. Condon and husband Ronald of Olanta, Kenneth M. Leonard and wife Amanda of Falls Creek and Christina A. Wise and husband Terry of Mill Run.

Also surviving are 11 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren a well as a sister and brother:Â Norma Bowman and husband Charles and Kenneth W. Leonard and wife Jean both of Curwensville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson Jerremy and a daughter-in-law Tammy Bennett.

Services for Mr. Leonard will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc, of Curwensville on Tuesday July 21, 2015 at 1:00 PM, with the Reverend Charles M. Lee Jr. officiating. Interment will be in the Wood Cemetery Grampian.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday July 20 from 6 to 9 PM, and again on Tuesday from 11 AM until time of services at 1 PM.
